Scottish Summer National Championships for RSC Swimmer!
Congratulations to Bea, one of our Senior Performance swimmers, who has received an invite to swim at Scottish Summer National Championships in July as a non-residential Scot.
The competition selects the top ranked 32 swimmers in Scotland (22 for 200m/400m events) for each age group on Long Course times gained between March 8 and May 12, and invites them to swim at the national event which will take place on 12-14 July at Aberdeen Aquatics Centre in Scotland. Bea will swim 50 fly at the event.
National Championships are held for England, Scotland and Wales each year in summer, also called Home Nations Meets, and invite the next fastest swimmers once the selection has been made for GB Aquatics British Championships. You can read more about these meets on our website gala info page https://www.roystonswimmingclub.co.uk/gala-info/gala-guide
RSC Swimmers Selected For The 2024 Swim England Hertfordshire County Development Camp
Congratulations to Lucas, Megan, Myla and Jasmina!
The selection criteria is by age and based on their performance and rankings in the 200 IM in August 2023 as well as through nominations from their clubs for their hard work, dedication and ability. This camp is the first step in the Swim England Talent Pathway and it is a big achievement to be invited. Congratulations!
Royston Swimming Club Shines Bright at 2024 Hertfordshire County Champs!
We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our talented swimmers Counties 2024 held across 3 weekends in January & February.
Leading the charge were Megan and Lily, members of the Junior Performance Team at RSC, who soared to victory both securing a Bronze medal as County Champions in their respective events. Megan showcased her prowess in the gruelling 400IM, securing Bronze in the Female 13 years category, while Lily demonstrated her speed and agility in the 50 backstroke, and 100 backstroke earning a well-deserved bronze medal in both in the Female 11/12 years category.
But the triumphs didn't end there. Our swimmers demonstrated their prowess across all age groups, with impressive performances that saw them completing epic swims and a few swimmers making multiple ‘Finals’ reserved for the fastest 8 swimmers in each age group on the night. Their dedication, skill, and unwavering determination were evident throughout the fast-paced competition, highlighting the depth of talent within the RSC ranks.
As a club dedicated to nurturing technically proficient swimmers and fostering a culture of excellence, we take great pride in the achievements of our members. The success at the Hertfordshire Counties is a testament to the hard work and commitment of both the swimmers and the coaching staff.
Congratulations to Megan, Lily, and all the RSC swimmers who showcased their talent and represented the club with pride at the Hertfordshire gala.
